CalWORKs

California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) is a program that provides temporary financial assistance and employment services to families with minor children who have income and property below State maximum limits for their family size. CalWORKs participants are required to develop a Welfare-to-Work (WTW) plan in order to receive and sustain assistance. The WTW plan includes activities such as employment, job search, assessments, education and training, community service, substance abuse treatment, mental health services and domestic violence counseling. Our Case Managers are specially trained to assist individuals in the program to obtain the skills and education needed for gainful employment that will lead towards their self-sufficiency.
