Thank you to all of you who supported our third annual Ultimate Chef Challenge. The secret ingredient of tomatoes certainly was challenging but our chef rose to that challenge and exceeded all expectations.

This year's winner is: Chef Ruben Larrazolo, owner of Alebrijes Mexican Bistro located in Lodi.

Congratulations to our 2009 People's Choice Award Winners:
Appetizer: Brookside Country Club
Wine: Oakridge Winery
Chef: Lance Hatcher

Your continued support helps us further our vision to help individuals and families grow to be self-sustaining members of our San Joaquin County Community.

Thank you from the board, staff,

and families of Charterhouse Center for Families.

History

Charterhouse Center for Families began in 1986, in response to the needs of Southeast Asian refugee women. At that time, there were no services available specifically for these women. Charterhouse Center for Families began services by first providing English-as-a-Second Language classes, shortly thereafter expanding to include outreach and advocacy services for all family members. As needs changed over the years, Charterhouse Center for Families has changed its programs to meet those needs.

MISSION

The mission of Charterhouse Center for Families is to assist individuals and families in their pursuit to self-sufficiency. Our programs are designed to further the achievements of the members of our community.

VISION

Our vision is to provide personalized services for individuals and families to grow in self-sufficiency by collaborating with effective partnerships throughout San Joaquin County.
